This service is for recreational skis. We grind the ski flat and set side and base bevels on the WINTERSTEIGER Scout, then wax. Edge angles are set to the manufacturer's spec unless otherwise specified.
To keep your skis performing their best and guarantee the most comfort, control, and fun, you should have your skis tuned regularly.
Before each season, and periodically throughout the season, it is essential to have your skis ground and angles properly set for optimal performance and control. The frequency with which you should tune your skis will vary by person based on how often you ski, how hard you are on your skis, snow conditions where you ski, and how you store them in between ski days. You should get a fresh tune when your skis feel like they are no longer performing like they used to, or there is a change in snow conditions. Some people may need a full tune after only 2 or 3 days on the hill, while others may be able to get 5 or even up to 10 days on a good tune with proper edge maintenance in between full tunes.
