A passion for speed, precision, and performance

Mike Beers is the owner of Race Tech Ski Service and SkiTuningTools.com. He has spent his life chasing speed and peak performance in everything he does. From his professional cycling career to his meticulous work on skis and his hobby of racing cars, Mike's relentless pursuit of excellence is evident in everything he does.

RACING ROOTS

It Started With Bikes

Mike's love affair with speed began on two wheels. As a professional cyclist for ten years, he represented the United States on the international stage, collecting an impressive palmarès that includes a World Title, eight National titles, and 18 other State/National/International medals. His passion for competition extends beyond personal achievement, as Mike has also coached developmental cycling programs, fostering the next generation of racers.

FOR THE LOVE OF SPEED

From Bikes to Cars

Mike's need for speed extends beyond the velodrome. He has a deep appreciation for the precision engineering of Porsche automobiles, honed during his years as a Porsche enthusiast and mechanic. This expertise translates directly to his current love of tinkering with his own Porsche race car, ensuring it performs at its peak on the track, where he currently races GTB1 class with Porsche Club of America.

SKI SERVICE EXCELLENCE

A Master of Ski Tuning

Mike's dedication to precision extends to the winter world as well. His experience spans years in the ski industry working in ski shops, for the U.S. Ski Team, and for industry leaders like Wintersteiger and Swix. He serves as a Service Technician for the U.S. Ski Team, ensuring their equipment is dialed in for competition at the highest level. His in-depth knowledge of ski tuning structures and grinds as well as hand-tuning and finishing, has given athletes crucial hundreds of a second more speed when it matters most - in competition.

After the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Lindsey Jacobellis' coach Peter Foley, reported back that Lindsey ran a structure that Mike created all days of the event. It was that Wintersteiger grind that was on her snowboard for her individual Gold medal in Snowboarder Cross (the FIRST Gold Medal in the 2022 Winter Olympics) as well as her Mixed Team SBX Gold with Nick Baumgartner.
